Board of Elections Information & Meetings
The Elbert County Board of Elections and Registration is committed to conducting elections in Elbert County in accordance with federal and state laws so that each and every citizen has a fair, impartial, and efficient opportunity to register and exercise the right to vote; and each candidate for office has a fair, impartial, and efficient opportunity to qualify for and to seek office.
Runoff Facts
- Eligible voters are those who registered before November 7, 2022 deadline.
- If you are an eligible voter and did not vote in the Nov. 8 General Election, you ARE eligible to vote in the runoff.
- If you voted in the General Election and submitted a change of address, name change, or any other type of change, it will NOT be processed if received after November 7.
- Absentee by mail voters who met the requirements and chose to “Opt-in to receive an absentee ballot for the rest of the election cycle,” will automatically receive an absentee ballot for the runoff.
- Voters that are not eligible to “opt-in”, or did not mark the choice to opt-in, will need to re-apply for an absentee ballot. Only those 65 and older, or disabled, are eligible for this option.
- The last day to request an absentee ballot is Nov. 28.
- You may check your voter registration and absentee ballot status or request an absentee ballot at sos.ga.gov. Go to the Elections Tab and choose the My Voter Page link.
