Motor Vehicle/Property Clerk

The Elbert County Tax Commissioner’s Office is currently seeking applications for a Motor Vehicle/Property Clerk. This position is a full-time position and will be assisting with the collection of property taxes and maintaining records of same. This position will also perform specialized and responsible tasks associated with motor vehicle titles, registrations, insurance compliance, ad valorem taxes, and sales tax collections.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, and a valid Georgia Driver's License. Applicant must be able to pass a comprehensive background check (criminal, driving, and credit). The successful candidate will be assigned to perform clerical and cashier functions in one or more areas in the Office of the Tax Commissioner. Essential performance of duties to include providing taxpayers with excellent customer service through the mail, by phone, or in person. Attention to detail is a must. Drug testing is required prior to employment.

Code Enforcement Officer
 
The Elbert County Board of Commissioners are currently seeking applications for a Code Enforcement Officer. This position is a full-time position under the direction of the Community Development Manager and is responsible for performing a variety of functions. Primary tasks are building inspections, investigating code violation complaints, and record keeping. The Code Enforcement Officer must be able to address any questions or concerns about the activities of the Department through strong customer service skills and a thorough knowledge of Elbert County zoning ordinances and code of ordinances.

Code Enforcement Job Description

 

Bobby Brown Park is seeking volunteers for or two Maintenance Hosts who are friendly, energetic, and hard working. Bobby Brown has fifty-eight campsites, two outdoor pavilion picnic shelters, picnic areas, trails, primitive pioneer camping areas, Petersburg Cabin, five yurts, pedal boats rentals, and kayak rentals.

In this position, you will be offered a free campsite with power, water, sewer, laundry facilities, and high speed fiber Wi-Fi. The park will be looking for these volunteers to work three 8 hour days per week (Monday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Friday).

This position will take on projects to monitor the look of the park to ensure a safe and clean environment. Duties will include, but not limited to: equipment repairs and maintenance, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, grass cutting, bathroom cleaning and other general park maintenance.
